This is the first in a series of paintings inspired by photos posted by xtube members (hairysniffer in this case). I started with sumi ink on heavy watercolor paper then added watercolor pencils and painted them out in several layers. Next came a little white acrylic for highlights followed by more watercolor until it was balanced to my eye. Lastly I added the background and a touch more black sumi ink to correct discrepancies that weren't apparent in the initial stages. I photographed each step to preserve it before proceeding to the next.

Man u are good. I wish i could see the real photo as well. I particularly like the fact that u are showing us step by step how u fill all the blank spaces in to create a gorgeous painting. Tnx mate.
